Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami Beach will arrive in December, to be exact December 4 – 10, 2017. It’s one of the best times of the year for viewing contemporary art. Miami and Miami Beach will be the epicenter of the art world with approximately 1200 art galleries from around the world showing thousands of artists. Each year approximately twenty art fairs are open during this week. It’s also a week of fashion with gala openings and after parties. Music and Design also play a very important part of Miami Art Week, so does the weather.

Art Week is just around the corner, and I am ready to make the most of it. Thousands of artists and galleries will represent cities and countries from all over the world. Keep in mind that a couple of the popular art fairs will be moving to new locations: Art Miami and Context will be relocating their massive tents to the former Miami Herald grounds overlooking Biscayne Bay. Miami Art Week is about to add a brand new, invitation-only experience: FORM MIAMI. It will feature 25 international galle
ries with a curated selection of applied arts and sculptural objects, which makes it the only show at Miami Art Week dedicated to this kind of art. Its four-day-long run will begin Dec. 7 along with a VIP Opening Night Preview Dec. 6. FORM is part of its parent company, Urban Expositions, which produces several of the most prominent U.S. art fairs, such as SOFA Chicago and Art Aspen.

FORM Miami is owned by Atlanta-based Urban Expositions, a Clarion Events company, which produces Art Aspen, Art Palm Springs, and SOFA Chicago (Sculpture Objects Functional Art and Design).
