Navigating Miami Art Week is made easier through the joint efforts of Miami and Miami Beach. FORM Miami, the premier applied arts and sculptural objects fair, is among 30 art and design fairs that pop-up in December during Miami Art Week, attracting top artists and designers from around the world. Below are various methods of transportation that make getting around Miami and Miami Beach more accessible during this time.
Valet parking is available at the venue but extremely limited. Additional parking is available in Miami Beach at the municipal parking lot on Convention Center Drive, as well as a parking garage located on 17th Street.
FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE
Miami and Miami Beach have joined efforts to make the numerous art fairs more easily accessible, joining efforts to operate a free shuttle service connecting to the existing free transportation services and art shows in each of the two cities. For complete shuttle details, click here
Water Taxi Miami is offering special seasonal rates during Miami Art Week. Vessels depart from Purdy Boat Ramp at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park every 90 minutes. A free shuttle provides transportation to the Miami Beach Convention Center. One-way fares start at $15 per person.
METROMOVER, METRORAIL AND METROBUS
Miami-Dade Metromover is a FREE above ground, single-car train system running downtown (Omni Loop, Brickell Loop and Inner Loop) between 5 am and midnight weekdays, as late as 2 am on the weekends.
The Metrorail runs from Kendall through Miami Beach, Coral Gables and Downtown, as well as route that runs to Miami International Airport. There is a fee to ride the Metrorail and an EASY Card or EASY Ticket will need to be purchased before boarding as the new faregates do not accept cash.
MIAMI BEACH FREE TROLLEY
The City of Miami Beach provides free trolley service running Monday to Sunday from 8 am to midnight. The trolley has free WiFi to keep you connected during its numerous stops, each averaging about a 10 minute wait.
Uber is offering car service throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
